Rise Over Run Taproom Construction Update: Underground Plumbing at a 1960 Sunnyslope Landmark

Work is underway at Rise Over Run, an Arizona-focused beer and wine taproom taking shape at 524 W Hatcher Road in the Sunnyslope neighborhood of Phoenix. Crews are currently trenching and setting sanitary rough-in for the new bar and restrooms, locating and sloping every drain line before the slab gets patched. This is the phase where a restaurant and taproom buildout is either set up well or set up for problems, because once concrete goes back down the underground layout is fixed. The building was constructed in 1960 and earned historic zoning from the City of Phoenix last October, so the original
midcentury character is being preserved while a new bar, patio and updated restrooms are added. Emerald is handling the tenant improvement from building permit issuance through punch list, with the taproom scheduled to open later this year.
